Reggie - 17 year old Arabian Gelding
Reggie arrived at
our facility Saturday, November 1, 2003, referred to us by
Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. He
arrived wearing a single layer of styrofoam pads, and exhibited
a Obel grade 4 lameness on both front feet on 4 grams of Bute.

Beau
Beau
is a 23 year old Arabian gelding. His owner brought him to our
facility in November of 2003. He had been laying down for the
previous 4 months after an acute laminitic episode, and
presented as an Obel grade 4 lameness, Cushings syndrome horse
with refractory laminitis. He was currently on 2-4 grams of
Bute per day and still laying down most of the time. His blood
work revealed that he was a true diabetic/insulin resistant.

Crooner - 10 year old Selle Francais gelding.
Crooner is a
talented jumper from Canada, referred to us by WSU Veterinary
Teaching Hospital. He first came to us in April of 2004 and
presented as a chronic, low grade 4 cornered lameness, 2/5 on
the R-Hind, 1/5 on L-Hind, L-Front and R-Front.

Celebration and Precious
Celebration came
to our facility in November 2003. He presented as an Obel grade
4 lameness while on 4 grams of Bute per day. He had a history
of Chronic Laminitis, and was diagnosed Peripheral Cushings
Syndrome. His coffin bones were sunk and rotated and he had a
significant lamellar wedge in both front feet.
